Richmond Beach
Homes facing Puget Sound where wind and marine moisture hit west walls and decks hardest.
Painting in Shoreline
Shoreline is more than a single north-Seattle housing style. Richmond Beach, Hillwood, North City and Ridgecrest offer useful local reference points, but a neighborhood label cannot establish a house's age, materials or exposure. We assess the property itself before recommending the preparation and finish for a repaint.
The City's neighborhood association network is also different from a property owners' association with architectural controls. Do not assume that changing a paint color requires neighborhood permission, or that no rules apply. Check your own covenants and responsibilities. That leaves the painting conversation focused on accurate scope, safe access and a finish that works with the home you have.
Local knowledge
Homes facing Puget Sound where wind and marine moisture hit west walls and decks hardest.
Mid-century ramblers with original trim, wood windows and interiors ready for a modern refresh.
New townhomes near transit alongside older single-family homes, each with different access needs.
Wooded, private streets where tree cover and gates shape exterior planning.
Richmond Beach Saltwater Park
Nearby homes deal with salt air and wind, so we plan prep and coating for exposed elevations.
Hamlin Park and Shoreview Park
Tall evergreens nearby mean shade, needle debris and mildew on siding and roofs.
Shoreline light rail stations
New multifamily buildings near 148th and 185th often involve managed access and HOA coordination.
What we do

An exposed wall and a sheltered side yard can need different preparation, even on one Shoreline house. We review siding, window trim, vegetation contact and splashback, then discuss repairs and the existing coating. Narrow access and shared boundaries are addressed early so equipment and protection are not left to an assumption on the first day.
Explore Exterior Painting
If you are keeping natural wood doors or older trim, new wall colors should be considered beside those surfaces. We identify repairs, texture differences and stains before painting, and discuss ceilings and connected rooms separately. The result can refresh the interior without unintentionally changing the details you wanted to preserve.
Explore Interior Painting
A kitchen updated in stages may have several finishes that need to work together. A sample door helps resolve color, sheen and grain visibility before the full cabinet project. We discuss worn edges, previous coatings and adhesion, then define whether shelves and interior boxes are included or only the exposed exterior components.
Explore Cabinet Painting
A peeling opaque deck finish can need very different preparation from weathered penetrating stain. We assess what is on the wood before recommending another coating. Stairs and railings are included only when listed in the scope, and a safe route to the yard is discussed while boards are cleaned, coated and allowed to cure.
Explore Deck & Fence StainingBefore we paint
Walls and cabinets do not have to erase natural wood details to feel updated. Compare samples beside doors, floors and trim you are retaining. Discuss where preparation stops and which components are excluded so the new work complements rather than alters them. A coordinated palette is more useful than choosing each painted surface independently.
Show us gates, narrow side yards, planted areas and any shared access arrangement before exterior work is scheduled. Neighbor coordination may be useful where staging approaches a boundary. We plan equipment and protection around the site rather than assuming a standard ladder setup fits every wall. Access needs should be understandable in the estimate.
A Shoreline neighborhood association is not automatically an architectural-review body. Check your property documents for covenants and maintenance responsibilities instead of relying on the neighborhood name. Likewise, a Richmond Beach location alone does not establish a special coating specification. Actual surface material, exposure and previous finish are the practical criteria.

How it works
We visit your home, then send a written, itemized estimate with the exact scope and pricing.
Your estimator becomes your project manager. You get your schedule up front and daily updates.
We protect your floors and furniture, prep every surface, paint with Sherwin-Williams, and clean up every day.
We walk the finished job with you and fix anything that needs attention. Our work is backed by a written 2-year warranty.

Local questions
Not necessarily. The City's neighborhood network is not the same as property-specific architectural control. Confirm any separate association, covenants or designation that applies to your home before finalizing an exterior change.
A label alone is not enough. We inspect actual exposure, the substrate and coating condition before recommending preparation and finish. A sheltered wall and an exposed surface may need different attention even at the same address.
Yes. Test colors beside the retained wood and define which surfaces will be protected rather than painted. Clear preparation boundaries and coordinated samples help the refreshed areas work with the details you want to keep.
Yes. We help decide which wood details to keep, which surfaces to repaint, and discuss safe preparation for older coatings before work starts.
Often they show wear first. We inspect each side and can plan a targeted scope when only exposed walls need attention.
